My two-month volunteer teaching experience in West Sikkim was thoroughly fulfilling. I was warmly welcomed by the hard-working couple, Rajib and Radhika Thapa, who founded and run the school. They can be proud of their school and the high standards they maintain. The students were delightfully enthusiastic and teaching them was a pleasure. Many live at the school hostel, which also includes accommodation for a volunteer. The school is surrounded by beautiful green hills with plenty of opportunities for local hiking and exploration. I would recommend this placement to anyone considering volunteering with HELP.
