It’s a brilliant Program that is focusing its effort on places that MOST desperately need help. Cant thank Jim enough for giving me the opportunity to do the most in my capacity at a place that needed it so much.(Sunil Meka, SASA Academy: 2013) …

I think HELP is doing a great job! I think the funding model is a good one ie: having the volunteers essentially fund the projects. It is good to know that all the money goes to the projects because there are no unnecessary overheads. I also appreciate that HELP is focussed on improving educational outcomes for children rather than providing services for “voluntourists”. Insistance on a two month minimum is a good idea.(Annie Taylor, JN Memorial school: 2012)…

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF HELP?: Excellent! I loved your honesty, ie. being really down to earth about what to expect, but equally it was so so so much better than what I had imagined from your briefing materials!!! And thanks for your support whilst I was out there Jim. The school are really grateful for your help.(Charlotte Cotton, Spituk Monastery School: 2012)…

(HELP is) a very professional and ethically sound organisation with a real human element. Also extremely cheap when compared to many of the GAP year organisations. The application process was relatively stress free and the recommendations made by Jim Coleman of accommodation and school were spot on for me. I appreciated the opportunity to immerse myself in a culture and community off the beaten track and really experience Nepal. The HELP representative in Kathmandu was excellent. All in all I felt very well looked after.(Lewis…

HELP is rare for an organisation offering volunteer teaching in that it puts the needs of the local people before the desires of the western person wanting ‘the experience’.
