Volunteer testimonial

…I have had the privilege of living and meeting lots of Ladhakis that have taught me very valuable lessons. I had to get out of my comfort zone and learn all about this new culture and that helped me to open my mind and be more flexible with different cultures, religions and opinions. It has been a truly rewarding and unforgettable experience.

It´s hard to summarise such a great experience in a few lines. It was the first time I participated in this kind of volunteering programs so I didn´t know what to expect but if I look back now, it has been one of the most rewarding things I´ve ever done in my life. I learnt new things from the kids, teachers, monks and family members everyday. I have the feeling that I´ve learnt much more than I´ve taught! I would recommend this volunteering to anyone. A truly life changing experience!

In my opinion, HELP is really contributing to the development of the rural communities of the Himalayas. This organisation does a great job in this isolated region where they have a big lack of resources and even bigger needs of English teachers.

I think it’s a great organization. I’m really impressed with how small and focused on each project HELP is.
