Nepal is the world's only Hindu kingdom. However, in the high Himalayas, most tribes, like the Sherpas, are Buddhist.

The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is reputed by the Sherpas to live in the Himalayas, but numerous expeditions have failed to verify the existence of these creatures...

'Gurkha' is the name given to the Nepalese soldiers employed in the British and Indian armies. Their traditional weapon is a curved knife called a 'khukuri', which is used not just in mortal combat, but also for slaughtering animals and chopping vegetables.
