Sponsorship can transform lives

This is what one Nepalese student nurse says about the sponsorship she received from HELP:

“Its been very long since the last time i wrote to you. I apologize for the inconvenience but i am writing to you today to share you about my recent progress. Today its the first day of our Nepali new year 2071 and i wish you a very happy new year as well. I pray for the best of health, success and wealth to you and your family.

Its been a year that i have got a nursing registration and been working as a heamodialysis nurse in the Asia’s biggest haemodialysis center  called National Kidney Center and i am glad to inform you that within a short time i have managed to become one of the senior haemodialysis nurses in our center. Occasionally i visit other hospitals to do haemodialysis as well. I am actively involved in research program and health camps organized and supported by National Kidney Center.

Secondly, i took Acupressure training which is a ancient healing method involving the use of pressure to cure various disease within an individual and now am a certified acupressure therapist here in Nepal.

Additionally, on December 2012 i gave my IELTS ( International English Language Testing System) and managed to score 7.5 . I managed to be among the 5% test takers from Nepal that scored 7.5 on that year.
With this score i got lots of admission offers from top 10 universities from Australia and even managed to get good amount of scholarships for my bachelors of nursing program. Due to this score i was asked to work as counselor in various educational consultancies here in Nepal and was even offered some jobs as IELTS instructor in some institutions.

At present I am applying for state universities in U.S.A. for my bachelors of nursing programs as the U.S.A. universities are much cheaper as compared to Australian Universities.

I have already applied to more than 50 universities and am hoping to get admissions from one of  these universities.

With all of these achievements besides me, i look back and think that these would not have been possible without you and your generosity. Its you who has helped me become someone who i had never been dream t of. Its the willingness of people like you that has eased our lives and made us believe that dreams do come true. You truly have been an angle to me. I and my entire family are very thankful for your kindness.

Thank-you very much.

Yours Sincerely
Bandana Adhikari”

I want to let you know that I have looked at a lot of volunteer organizations since I did your program and you have (as far as I can tell) one of the best. I really like how much you personally care about each volunteer and each school.
