The sum I am transferring to HELP's account is or is equivalent to:
£ (Sterling) [currency converter]

For UK tax payers, using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. So £10 can be turned into £12.80 through Gift Aid.

I am a UK tax payer and I want all donations I have made since 6 April 2000 and all donations in the future to be Gift Aid until I notify you otherwise (I understand that, to GiftAid my donation, I must pay UK income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax reclaimed by the charity on my donation): Yes

Your choice of payment method will depend on whether you are sending money from inside or outside the UK, and whether you want to pay monthly or annually. The following matrix will help you decide how to pay.

PayPal

Credit card

Inter-bank Transfer

Cheques/Checks

Advantages:

  • You don’t need a bank account.
  • A PayPal account is easy to open if you haven’t already got one (but you need to do this directly with PayPal, and upload money into that account, before you attempt to make your donation via this website).

Advantages:

  • You can pay by credit card via the PayPal website (in which case you don’t need to set up a PayPal account.)

Advantages:

  • There are no charges for sponsors using a UK bank account

Advantages:

  • Many people still like using cheques!
  • There is no charge for people using UK bank accounts.

Disadvantages:

  • PayPal always deducts a fee from your payment so we don’t get the full amount. If you want HELP to receive the full amount you intend to donate then you will need to add the value of the PayPal charge to the amount that you send.

Disadvantages:

  • As for PayPal payments

Disadvantages:

  • There is a charge for international payments at both ends of the transaction. If you want HELP to receive the full amount you intend to donate, then you will need to instruct your bank that you will bear all charges.

Disadvantages:

  • We are charged a fee for processing a cheque drawn on a non-UK account.
  • They are cumbersome for us to process.

Conclusion

PayPal is a particularly good option if you live outside the UK.
